Carrier Oils: Skin Benefits and Uses

Carrier oils have therapeutic properties which are beneficial for good skin health. Come and learn easy ways to incorporate carrier oils into your skin care regime. Margaret will demonstrate how to make the following skin care preparations: hydrating facial oil, hot oil hair treatment, first aid oil blend and a burn ointment.

Making an Infused Oil

In this webinar we discuss the step-by-step process of creating an infused oil using three methods: water bath, solar, and slow cooker.
We will discuss common garden herbs which can be used to create versatile infused oils for salves, body oils, and skin care preparations.We will explore several carrier oils which are ideal for creating infused oils. Amanda will demonstrate making a Calendula infused oil and a St. John’s Wort infused oil. 

Enhanced Aromatherapy Formulation: Synergy with Infused Oils, Carrier oils, and Essential Oils

In this webinar, we will review some of the basics regarding carrier oils, infused oils, and what makes these oils different from essential oil. We will discuss the phases of creating a cosmetic formula using carrier oils, infused oils, and essential oils. Lastly, there will be a demonstration of preparing four different formulae: an anti-aging facial oil, an invigorating body scrub, a soothing bath & body oil, and a healing ointment.
