Discovering ACHS’ Graduate Certificate in Aromatherapy

Barbara Hudak, RN, BSN, MS, a recipient of the ACHS Adult Skills Scholarship, discovered ACHS after years of searching for a program that aligned with her goals. She was thrilled to find the Graduate Certificate in Aromatherapy. Although it’s been some time since she was in graduate school, Barbara admits that “it feels scary but right!” She’s settling in and ready to take on the challenge. Barbara believes that this scholarship is a blessing, and she’s thrilled to receive it.

A Life of Service

Barbara, a veteran and retired nurse residing in Sedona, Arizona, is deeply committed to serving her community. Her extensive experience includes working at the Mayo Clinic, being a HeartMath® Certified Sr. Trainer and Coach/Mentor and energy practitioner, and owning a business. She also serves as a Coach for a non-profit that supports veterans in Dallas. Barbara aims to leverage her clinical and research background to create additional tools that will benefit her community and clients through an intuitive approach.

The Growing Need for Aromatherapy in Clinical Settings

Barbara sees a need for aromatherapy in the medical field now more than ever and feels that with the emerging science of using essential oils, it will soon be a widely accepted modality in clinical settings. She would like to incorporate essential oils to assist with her current work in neuroplasticity.

Heartful Integrations

Barbara owns a wellness-focused business called Heartful Integrations, where she focuses on balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and rewiring the brain. Other offerings at Heartful Integrations include reiki, resilience education, intuitive private and group coaching, burnout prevention, and other heart-healing modalities.

Celebrating Barbara's Success

Barbara's vision for the future is one of integration and harmony. She plans to incorporate additional aromatherapy services and essential oils into her practice, striving to bridge the spirit, science, and intuition into unison. Her dedication to this vision is truly inspiring!

We congratulate Barbara on her well-deserved scholarship and eagerly anticipate the impact she will continue to make in her community!
