Entrepreneurship is the engine that drives innovation and economic growth around the world. On August 21st, we celebrate World Entrepreneurs' Day to honor the individuals who take the leap into the unknown, creating businesses that shape lives.
The Essence of Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is about more than just starting a business. It's a mindset—a way of thinking and acting that embraces change, seeks opportunities, and values innovation. Entrepreneurs are problem-solvers who see gaps in the market and create solutions that improve our lives. They are risk-takers, willing to face uncertainty and overcome challenges to achieve their vision.
At ACHS, entrepreneurs and small business owners are highly valued and supported as vital contributors to the dynamic holistic health and wellness industry. Many of our students and alumni aspire to start their own wellness businesses or are already running a successful venture and making valuable contributions to their communities.
ACHS Entrepreneurial Programs
ACHS offers tailored programs and resources designed to foster entrepreneurial success. Through our specialized courses, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, students gain the skills and connections needed to launch and grow their own businesses.
Through our range of Sustainable Business Programs, we offer business education courses grounded in principles of sustainability and organizational health and wellness. The curriculum is designed and taught by proven faculty members with cutting-edge expertise, focusing on the development of skills needed to thrive as a modern-day business owner.
In April of 2024, we also launched an innovative new program: The Wellness Business Operations Specialist (WBOS)™ micro-credential. This six-course program guides students through the important questions to ask when preparing to set up or manage a wellness business. It covers key areas, including small business operations, fundamentals of financial management and human resources, effective marketing, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and production considerations for natural products.
