Meet Isha Gaines, a trailblazer in the field of holistic health and a shining example of how education can empower individuals to create positive change. As the proud recipient of the ACHS’s Adult Scholarship, Isha's journey towards making a difference in mental health has taken her on a transformative path.
A Catalyst for Change
Driven by her passion for helping others, Isha embarked on her studies with ACHS in the Fall of 2022. She enrolled in the Certificate in Aromatherapy Program, which she will complete Summer of 2023. But Isha's commitment to education and holistic health extends far beyond her time at ACHS.
In 2019, Isha pursued a Master's in Counseling program with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Simultaneously, she embarked on an Esthetician program, driven by her own personal health journey. Experiencing the profound impact of holistic health practices on her mind, body, and skin, Isha developed a thirst for knowledge in natural approaches. It was this quest for a comprehensive understanding of holistic modalities that led her to ACHS.
The Power of Holistic Health
With her deep-rooted love for the gifts of Mother Earth, Isha says “I love taking things from the Earth and making teas, oils, and solutions to everyday issues and concerns. I feel proud that I am so well-versed in holistic modalities, and I am enjoying learning more at ACHS. I would’ve spent more time here if I had known about this college sooner.”
Passion Fuels Empowerment
Isha is involved in many women’s empowerment events and is driven to support other women through the lens of holistic health practices and products. Isha has worked hard to get where she is at today, she has transitioned from a long career as a teacher to her calling as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Esthetician, and Holistic Health business owner.
Isha has transformed her passion for holistic and women’s health and was inspired to develop a wellness platform and skincare line where her mission is to bring together Women of Color on their respective journeys, encouraging them to embrace their natural beauty. Isha is the proud owner of two wellness-focused businesses: Honey Bee Natural, Honey Bee Well, and Aloe Curves.
