Whether you are already an ACHS student or alumni, or just considering a career in holistic health, you have probably asked yourself, “What will my holistic health career look like?” American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) is committed to providing opportunities for our alumni by meeting the industry’s demands for credentialed holistic healthcare professionals.
ACHS recently sought input from experts in the healthcare workforce with a focus on credentialing for graduates of ACHS’s holistic health programs by asking what they thought about two emerging credentials: Certified Health Coach and Certified Health Educator.
While we gather and analyze what the experts think, we want to hear from you also! What do you think about the trends in career opportunities for credentialed holistic health professionals based on your experience and interactions with the healthcare community and your local workforce?

Did you know that many of ACHS’s programs have already been reviewed and found to meet or exceed the education standards for credentialing from several professional organizations? For example, our Certificate in Aromatherapy graduates are eligible to sit for the National Examination in Aromatherapy provided by Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC) to become Registered Aromatherapists and use the trademarked letters RA after their name. In addition, ACHS Diploma in Holistic Health Practice graduates can apply for professional membership to the National Association of Nutrition Professionals and sit for the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board’s national examination to become “Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition."
Not yet a student here at ACHS? We’d still like to hear from you. Click here to take our survey and share your thoughts on opportunities in the holistic healthcare workforce! Know someone with an opinion to share? Please feel free to forward this survey to any friends, family, or colleagues who work in the holistic health field. We'd love to hear their feedback, too!
We will report back in a future blog post on the results of both surveys and look forward to sharing our findings with you.
